Marquet was started by me, Anna Marquet, to help people find a better way to capture health sustainably, without deprivation or fad diets. I cut my culinary teeth in the kitchens of Zahav, and learned the meal service ropes in the offices of Blue Apron. Despite my culinary background, for most of my professional career I had little time to make meals for myself. Going from cooking in a fast paced kitchen, to working in a quickly growing meal service startup left little time for self care. I found myself relying on easy, convenient foods that were quick and satisfying in the moment but ultimately left me sluggish and drained of energy. Determined to find a better way to recapture my health without sacrificing taste, I spent my weekends focusing on designing nutrient rich recipes that would work for busy lifestyles. I quickly found myself feeling more energized without drastically altering my dietary restrictions, focusing solely on foods with high nutritional content and avoiding processed foods.
